- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

Credit Suisse

On 4 December 2007, the Company received notification from Credit Suisse (under
the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency
Rules) that Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited has ceased to have a
notifiable interest (i.e. its aggregate shareholding is below 3%) in the voting
rights attached to the Ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc.

Note:

Credit Suisse have also confirmed that they incorrectly disclosed their Credit
Default Swap positions on previous notifications to the Company as option
positions.
