On 5 November 2007, the Company received notification from Credit Suisse (under
the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency
Rules) that, as at 1 November 2007, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited
had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 19,444,749 Ordinary
13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc as shown in the Schedule below,
representing 4.98% of the total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.
