- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

On 19 October 2007, the Company received notification from AXA Investment
Managers UK Limited (under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's
Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that, as at 17 October 2007, AXA S.A. and its
group of companies ceased to have a notifiable interest (i.e. its aggregate
shareholding is below 3%) in the voting rights attached to Ordinary 13 8/9p
shares of The Rank Group Plc.
