- Completion of the sale of Hard Rock for US$965 million

(approximately £502 million)


Further to its announcement of 7 December 2006 and the approval of its
shareholders at the EGM on 8 January 2007, The Rank Group Plc confirms that it
has today completed the sale of its Hard Rock business to subsidiaries of the
Seminole Tribe of Florida for US$965 million (approximately £502 million).

The increase in the sterling equivalent of the purchase price from an estimated
£490 million on 7 December 2006 to £502 million at today's date is as a result
of changes in exchange rates during that period.
