Director's Share Purchase

On 2 April 2007 the Company received notification from Peter Johnson, Rank's
non-executive Chairman, that on 2 April 2007 he purchased 25,000 Ordinary 13 8/
9p Shares in The Rank Group Plc at a price of 205.75p per share, thereby taking
his notifiable beneficial share interests to a total of 25,000 Ordinary Shares.
