FOR: RAMBLER METALS & MINING PLC TSX VENTURE SYMBOL: RAB AIM SYMBOL: RMM March 3, 2008 Rambler Appoints George Ogilvie as President and CEO LONDON, ENGLAND and BAIE VERTE, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - Rambler Metals and Mining plc (TSX VENTURE:RAB)(AIM:RMM) is pleased to announce the appointment of George Ogilvie, age 40, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO, Stanley Neamonitis will remain on the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director. George Ogilvie's principal role as CEO is to build the Company from an exploration company into a mid-tier mining company focusing on base metals in politically stable jurisdictions. His appointment comes during an important time for the Company as the surface exploration drilling activity continues with encouraging results and the completion for the dewatering of the mine remains on track for summer 2008. George Ogilvie joined Rambler in November 2006 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and has more than 18 years management, operating and technical experience in the mining industry. George Ogilvie received his B.Sc.(Hons.), Mining and Petroleum Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland in 1989. He began his career working for Anglo American, where he worked for AngloGold in South Africa between 1989 and 1997, holding roles of increasing responsibility. In 1997 George Ogilvie transferred from AngloGold to work for Anglo Base Metals at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting in Northern Manitoba where he played a key operations role as the Mine Superintendent at the Ruttan Mine. In 2003 he joined Dynatec Corporation as their Area Manager for the Sudbury Basin, where he managed multi-million dollar contracts, and later worked at the McCreedy West Mine as Mine Manger. Throughout his career the mines where George Ogilvie has run operations have been frequent recipients of Mine Safety Awards. George Ogilvie is a registered P.Eng in Ontario and Newfoundland and holds a Mine Managers Certificate (South Africa). He is currently undertaking his MBA studies. Former CEO Stanley Neamonitis, an international commodities consultant with over forty years experience in marketing and trading base metals, ores and concentrates, will remain on the Board of the Company as a Director. His extensive knowledge of the base metals mining and smelting industries and commodities and trading experience shall be invaluable. This neighbouring property was subsequently consolidated before being brought into the Company. The Company now owns a 100% interest in the property. The principal activity of the Company is carrying out development and exploration on the Rambler Property, a mineral exploration property located on Newfoundland and Labrador's Baie Verte Peninsula.
