                       ANNOUNCEMENT OF S.198 NOTIFICATION

QinetiQ Group plc (the 'Company') announces, in accordance with Listing Rule
9.6.7, that the Company was notified on 23 March 2006 pursuant to section 198 of
the Companies Act 1985, that as at close of business on 16 March 2006, the
interest of Lehman Brothers International (Europe) in the ordinary shares of the
Company had fallen below 3%.
