                       ANNOUNCEMENT OF S.198 NOTIFICATION

QinetiQ Group plc (the 'Company') announces, in accordance with Listing Rule
9.6.7, that the Company was notified on 19 January 2007 that FMR Corp. and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries, and Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and
its direct and indirect subsidiaries, both being non-beneficial holders, as at
16 January 2007, had an interest in 20,812,925 ordinary shares of the Company.
This represents 3.15% of the issued share capital of the Company.
