Board Change

QinetiQ Group plc announces that Admiral Edmund P Giambastiani Jr has announced his intention to retire as an independent non-executive director to the QinetiQ Board at its Annual General Meeting on 2 August 2011.  Admiral Giambastiani has a number of other business interests outside of QinetiQ to which he wishes to dedicate more time.

Commenting on Admiral Giambastiani's departure Mark Elliott, Chairman said: "On behalf of my Board colleagues, I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution to the Board and wish him every success for the future."
