                QinetiQ's US subsidiary confirms $8m acquisition

Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, Inc. (Westar) confirms its acquisition of
Colorado-based SimAuthor, Inc. for $8m in an all-cash transaction.  SimAuthor is
a software and services company that specialises in flight data visualisation
and simulation technology.

SimAuthor has offices in Washington, D.C. and Boulder, Colorado, and provides
flight operation quality assurance to the US Navy, US Army and many other
industry leaders in the flight simulation business.

Westar is part of QinetiQ North America.
