APPOINTMENT OF MR JAMES STEEL

PZ Cussons Plc is pleased to announce that Mr James Steel, currently Head of
Corporate Finance at Arbuthnot Securities and previously a Managing Director of
European Investment Banking at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup
Global Markets) will be appointed as a non-executive director of PZ Cussons Plc
with effect from 1 October 2005.

RETIREMENT OF MR DAVID CHRISTOPHER GODWIN

Mr David Christopher Godwin will retire as a non-executive director of PZ
Cussons Plc with effect from 30 September 2005.
