Proteome Sciences plc ('the Company') announces that as indicated in the
Company's half yearly results which were released on the 30th September, Dr
Anthony Walker, a non-executive director, resigned on the 4th October 2002 from
the Board of the Company, due to his other commitments.


Steve Harris, Chairman of the Company, said :


'Anthony has made a significant contribution as a non-executive director. I wish
him well in the future and thank him for his support and counsel'.
