Proteome Sciences Plc ('the Company')

Application has been made for 164,444 ordinary shares of 1p each to be admitted
to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.
These shares are being issued following an exercise of share options by R.S.
Harris and Professor W. Dawson, both Directors of the Company.

These shares will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares and dealings are
expected to commence in the new ordinary shares at 8.00am on 6 August 2003.
