Dividend Declaration

PREMIER UTILITIES TRUST PLC

The Unaudited Interim Report announcement for the six months ended 30 June 2005
made earlier today reported that the Directors had declared a second interim
dividend of 1.5p per Ordinary share for the year ending 31 December 2005. The
record date and the ex-dividend date for this dividend had been transposed in
that announcement. The correct record date for the second interim dividend of
1.5p per share is 26 August 2005 and the Ordinary shares will be marked ex-dividend
on 24 August 2005. The dividend will be paid on 30 September 2005.
