On 26 October 2004 the Company received notification by Merrill Lynch & Co Inc.
('MLCI') that, as at 21 October 2004, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Ltd and/
or its subsidiaries ('MLIM') had a notifiable interest of 23,851,502 ordinary 1p
shares in the Company representing 9.74% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
