New Credit Rating from Fitch Ratings

Poplar HARCA Capital PLC
28 November 2023

Following a recent review of its ratings and financing strategy, Poplar HARCA Capital Plc has obtained a new credit rating from Fitch Ratings of A-(Stable). The decision was taken on the basis of a review of the different methodologies employed by the three rating agencies covering the UK social housing sector. The ratings review also concluded that Poplar HARCA did not see value for money in maintaining two credit ratings on an on-going basis, and therefore the decision was taken to terminate its contract with Moody's Investors Service. Moody's Investors Service has communicated to Poplar HARCA that it intends to continue publishing an unsolicited rating on Poplar HARCA.
