POLAR CAPITAL GLOBAL HEALTHCARE GROWTH AND INCOME TRUST PLC ("the Company")

Transaction in own shares  

24 June 2016                                                     

On 24 June 2016, the Company agreed to buy back 100,000 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company at a price of 162.62 pence per ordinary share. The Ordinary Shares bought back will be placed in Treasury.

As a result of the above transaction, the Ordinary Shares in issue, shares held in Treasury, and the Total Voting Rights of the Company are now as follows:

Number of Ordinary Shares in issue:                                                        122,650,000

Number of Ordinary Shares held in treasury:                                               2,075,000

Total Voting Rights attaching to Ordinary shares in issue:                     120,575,000
