MARKET PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Plaza Centers, a leading emerging markets property developer, today announces that, pursuant to an authority granted by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 27 May 2008 to make market purchases of its own shares, Plaza purchased 154,567 shares yesterday at prices between 40 Pence and 42 Pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 

Following the purchase of these shares the number of shares with voting rights in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) will be 289,373,370 and the number of shares in treasury will be 3,058,011.
