Playtech signs Codere Interactiva to Italian bingo platform

Playtech, (AIM: PTEC) the international designer, developer and licensor of software for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming industry, is pleased to announce the signing of Codere Interactiva as a licensee and its launch as an operator on the Company's Italian bingo platform.

This is the first online gaming initiative from Spanish-based gaming operator Codere, which is one of the leading participants in gaming in both Europe and Latin America.

Codere's online offering will complement its longstanding presence in Italian land-based bingo, where it operates 13 major bingo halls. This launch marks the first of what will be a number of initiatives as Codere develops its online gaming profile in regulated markets.

The addition of Codere.it brings the number of Italian bingo operators on Playtech's platform to four, which holds a market share in excess of 25%.

Playtech's Chief Executive, Mor Weizer said: "We are delighted to welcome Codere as a licensee. They are a major gaming operator with a significant land based presence in Italy and we are very much looking forward to helping them develop their online presence in regulated markets."
