Playtech signs landmark agreement with market-leading Holland Casino in anticipation of forthcoming market regulation

Playtech, the international designer, developer and licensor of software and services for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming industry, announces that it has signed a landmark agreement, (the Agreement") with Holland Casino in preparation of forthcoming regulations in the Netherlands.

Holland Casino holds a market-leading position in the Netherlands and is best positioned to benefit from the introduction of online gaming regulations. The Agreement further strengthens Playtech's position as the natural choice in regulated markets and continues the Company's strategy to establish itself in newly regulated markets.

This agreement builds on Playtech's major customer relationships in regulated markets with other successful operators such as RAY of Finland and many leading operators in Italy, including SNAI, Sisal and Eurobet.

The Dutch online gaming market is expected to regulate in early 2015 and presents a strong opportunity for both Playtech and Holland Casino in the Netherlands, considered to be one of the more exciting markets in Europe.

Playtech will partner with Holland Casino as it moves into the online gaming space and will launch Playtech's entire gaming product suite including casino, poker, bingo,  mobile and portal. In preparation of forthcoming regulations, Playtech will deliver a play-for-points offering, which will support Holland Casino's efforts to establish itself in the online space and build an online player base.

Commenting on the Agreement, Willem-Jan van den Dijssel, Holland Casino's Chief Executive, said: "We're excited to have Playtech as our partner in the development of our online casino and gaming platform. During the tender procedure, Playtech presented itself in a very convincing and promising way. As the world's largest online gaming software supplier, we're convinced that Playtech will deliver the high quality and state-of-the-art user experience that we seek for our players."

Mor Weizer, Playtech's Chief Executive, said: "We are thrilled Holland Casino has chosen us as its online gaming software provider in the soon-to-be regulated Netherlands market. Playtech will ensure Holland Casino meets all the new regulatory requirements to be set out by the Netherlands legal authorities to provide its customers with an appealing localised product experience. We are confident that our industry experience coupled with our current work in many regulated markets will ensure Holland Casino will provide its players with an unparalleled online gaming offering."
