Playtech (AIM:PTEC), the international designer, developer and licensor of software and services to the online, mobile and land-based gaming industry, announces that Barry Gibson has today resigned as a Non-executive Director of the Company.

Mr. Gibson leaves Playtech to pursue other interests, with immediate effect. He serves on the Boards of a number of other private and listed businesses.

Playtech's Non-executive Chairman, Roger Withers, said: "Barry has bought a wealth of experience to Playtech during a very important period of its development and has been an integral part of its growth. I and we are extremely grateful to him for his service to the Company and wish him every success in his future endeavors."

Barry Gibson said: "I am stepping down from the Board as the increasing demands of my other commitments have meant that I am unable to devote the appropriate time to my duties as a Board member. Playtech is a dynamic company with leading technology and a talented workforce. I wish the Company a successful future."

Playtech is committed to maintaining a Board which is compliant with the UK Corporate Governance Code and has commenced a search for a new Non-executive Director
