Pittards announces that, on 12 November 2001, the Company, pursuant to the
authority granted by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 2 May
2001, purchased 290,000 of its own cumulative preference shares (9.5%) of £1
each for cancellation at a price of 100 pence per share.
