                            Pittards plc - disposal


Pittards plc, producers of technically advanced leather for many of the world's
leading brands of gloves, shoes, luxury leathergoods and sports equipment, is
pleased to announce the sale of its factory site in Leeds, West Yorkshire for a
price of £6.5m payable in cash on completion.  The site, which is approximately
13 acres, has a book value of £5.6m.  Net sale proceeds will be applied to
reduce borrowings.

Pittards will continue to occupy the site under licence until December 2006,
whilst it completes the surrender of its Integrated Pollution Prevention &
Control licence to the Environment Agency and pending completion of the transfer
of its operations to its Yeovil facility and Asian sub-contractor.
