Directors' Notification of Dealing in Shares

Pittards plc (the Company) received notification today (30 March 2000) that
Mourant & Co Trustees Limited, trustee of the Company's employee share
ownership trust (the Trust), acquired today 112,846 ordinary 25p shares in the
Company at 43.5 pence per share and 22,598 ordinary 25p shares in the Company
at 46pence per share.  The main potential beneficiaries in the Trust are
executives of the Company awarded shares under a restricted share plan and
include JWW Pittard, JH Buckley, RH Hankey and R Paisley, who are directors of
the Company
