Pittards announces that it was informed today that Mrs G L Thwaites, a
non-executive director of the Company, has become interested in 5,714 Ordinary
Shares in the Company. The shares were gifted, with effect from 27 January
2000, to Mrs Thwaites by a family member, in whose shares she was not deemed
to be beneficially interested, for nil consideration.
