Pittards plc, producers of technically advanced leathers for many of the world's
leading brands of gloves, shoes, luxury leathergoods and sports equipment, (the
Company) announces that Steve Johnson, Managing Director of Pittards Leeds
division, stepped down from the board on 30 September 2006.

This follows the announcement earlier in the year that the Leeds site would be
closing in late 2006 and its business reorganised between Pittards' other sites
in Yeovil and overseas. Steve leaves us with our thanks for his help and
dedication during this difficult time and our best wishes for his future career.
