Pittards plc announces that it was today informed that Mr John Buckley,
Finance Director, purchased 1,075 shares in the Company at a price of 64.5
pence per share on 14 May 2001.  Mr Buckley is now interested in 66,667 shares
in the Company, representing approximately 0.2 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital.
