Pittards plc (the Company) received notification today, 21 December 2000, from
Mr RH Hankey, director, that he purchased 5,000 shares in the Company at 591/2
pence this afternoon.

Mr Hankey is now deemed to be beneficially interested in 50,270 ordinary
shares, representing approximately 0.23% of the entire issued share capital of
the Company.

The Company also received notification from Mr D Tebbs, director, that he
purchased 12,450 shares in the Company at 59 pence this afternoon.

Mr Tebbs' holding is now 22,450 shares.
