Pittards plc announces that application has been made to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange plc for the listing of 4,262 new
ordinary shares of 25 pence each to be admitted to the Official List pursuant to
the exercise of options.

This increases the number of ordinary shares in issue to 22,102,365.   Dealings
in the new ordinary shares are expected to commence on 14 March 2003.
