Pittards plc announces that application has been made to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange plc for the listing of 239,712 new
ordinary 25 pence shares to be admitted to the Official List pursuant to the
exercise of options.  This will take the total number of ordinary shares in
issue to 22,044,637.  Dealings in these shares are expected to commence on 11
December 2002.



Certain of the 239,712 new ordinary 25p shares are being issued to two directors
of the Company, including 2,549 for Mr John Buckley, to increase his total
holding to 68,366 shares (representing approximately 0.31% of the enlarged
issued share capital) and 2,549 for Mr Reg Hankey, to increase his total holding
to 59,832 shares (representing approximately 0.27% of the enlarged issued share
capital).
