                          PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')


In line with the statement made in the Preliminary Results for 2002 regarding
the utilisation of net profits from property disposals to repurchase the
company's shares, Pendragon PLC has on 27 February 2003, purchased five hundred
and seventy thousand of its ordinary shares at a price of 290 pence per share.

Following the re-purchase and cancellation of these shares, the issued share
capital of the Company is 54,854,918 Shares.
