Purchase of own securities

Pendragon plc (the 'Company') announces that it today purchased for cancellation
1,000,000 of its ordinary shares of 25p each ('Shares'), representing
approximately 1.7 per cent. of its issued share capital, at a price of 350p per
Share. Following the re-purchase and cancellation of these Shares, the issued
share capital of the Company is 58,082,418 Shares.
