                             PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')


In line with the statement made in the Annual Report 2000 regarding the 
utilisation of net profits from property disposals to repurchase the company's 
shares, Pendragon PLC has today, 28 November 2001, purchased two hundred and 
fifty thousands of its ordinary shares at a price of 218 pence per share.

These shares will be cancelled.
