                                  ANNOUNCEMENT

                          PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')

The Board of Pendragon announces that, with effect from 26 July 2004, the period
of notice of termination required to be given by the Company to the Chief
Executive, Trevor Finn, under his service agreement with the Company has been
reduced from two years to one year, in line with the Combined Code. 
In all other respects the service agreement remains the same.
