PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')

On 4 January 2001 Prudential plc notified the Board of Pendragon that as a
result of recent transactions its total notifiable interest in the ordinary
shares of Pendragon had decreased to 3,200,000 shares, representing 5.24% of the
total issued share capital of Pendragon.
