                    PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')

Standard Life Investments has today notified the Board of Pendragon that
following the acquisition on 1 March 2001 of 120,367 shares, its total
notifiable interest in the ordinary shares of Pendragon has increased to
4,355,734 shares, representing 7.15% of the total issued share capital of
Pendragon.
