PENDRAGON PLC ('PENDRAGON')

On 28 September 2000 Prudential plc notified the Board of Pendragon that as a
result of recent transactions its total notifiable interest in the ordinary
shares of Pendragon had decreased to 3,533,905 shares, representing 5.79% of the
total issued share capital of Pendragon.
