                         PENDRAGON PLC ('Pendragon')


The directors of Pendragon announce that it has been agreed to appoint Mike 
Davies to the Board as a non-executive director with effect from 18th October 
2004.

Mr. Davies, (57) is currently the senior non-executive director of Taylor 
Woodrow Plc and recently became non-executive Chairman of Marshalls plc. He also 
serves as a non-executive director on the boards of a number of private 
companies. Mr. Davies has been invited to serve on the Remuneration Committee, 
Audit Committee and Nominations Committee of Pendragon.
