                             HOLDING IN THE COMPANY

The Company was notified today that as of 15 December 2006, Fidelity
International Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, being a
non-beneficial holder, now holds 1,932,468 SOCO International plc ordinary
shares of £0.20 each ('Shares') representing 2.66% of the issued share capital
of the Company.

This follows a reduction in holding by 836,591 Shares, representing 1.15% of the
issued share capital of the Company.
