                             HOLDING IN THE COMPANY

The Company today received the following notification from the Trustees of the
SOCO Employee Benefit Trust:

'We have become aware that on 3 May 2006 we lent 1,375,000 ordinary shares
(equalling 1.89% of SOCO's ordinary share capital). We thereby ceased to be
registered and beneficial holder but instead became interested in such shares
under section 208(5) of the Act. We remained interested in a total of 2,273,300
ordinary shares being 1,375,000 (1.89% of the ordinary share capital) under
section 208(5) of the Act and 898,300 (1.23% of the ordinary share capital) as
registered and beneficial owner.

We have also become aware that on 4 May 2006 we lent the 898,300 ordinary shares
(1.23% of the ordinary share capital) thereby becoming interested in these
shares also under section 208(5) of the Act and ceasing to be the registered and
beneficial holder of such shares.

Accordingly as at 4 May 2006 we were interested in 2,273,300 ordinary shares
(3.12% of the issued ordinary share capital) under section 208(5) of the Act but
were not otherwise interested in any ordinary shares.

In summary we have been interested in and remain interested in 2,273,300
ordinary shares (3.12% of the issued ordinary share capital) but that interest
is now held under section 208(5) of the Act.'
