The Company was notified today that as of 23 August 2006, Fidelity International
Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, being a non-beneficial
holder, now holds 2,769,059 SOCO International plc ordinary shares of £0.20 each
('Shares') representing 3.81% of the issued share capital of the Company.

This follows a reduction in holding by 549,486 Shares, representing 0.76% of the
issued share capital of the Company.
