The Company was notified on 7 July 2003 that on 4 July 2003, Lansdowne Partners
Limited Partnership bought 159,056 (0.22%) SOCO International plc ordinary
shares of £0.20 each ('Shares') and as a result of this transaction, Lansdowne
Partners Limited Partnership now controls 4,353,524 Shares, representing 6.09%
of the issued share capital of the Company.
