The Company was notified on 18 July 2002 that Pontoil Intertrade Limited
purchased 220,000 ordinary shares in the Company (0.308%) on the open market at
£1.8698 per share. Following this transaction Pontoil Intertrade Limited holds
8,905,813 ordinary shares, representing 12.48 % of the issued share capital of
the Company.
