              Awards under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan

SOCO announces that awards under the SOCO International plc Long Term Incentive 
Plan were made on 9 December 2004 to Mr Edward Story, Mr Roger Cagle and 
Ms Cynthia Cagle of 111,400, 77,900 and 56,800 ordinary shares of £0.20 each, 
respectively.  Up to 100% of these awards will be exercisable from 9 December 
2007 provided certain performance conditions are met.  At the date of the 
award the market price of the ordinary shares was £3.12.
