                             DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING



The Company has been notified that Mr Robert Cathery has today acquired an
interest in 40,000 SOCO International plc ordinary shares of £0.20 each
('Shares'), which were acquired on the open market at a purchase price of £2.55
per share and represent 0.056% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Following this transaction, Mr Cathery is interested in 70,000 Shares,
representing 0.098% of the issued share capital of the Company.
