Awards under the Company's Long term Incentive Plan


SOCO announces that Awards under the SOCO International plc Long Term Incentive
Plan were made on 20 December 2005 to Mr Ed Story, Mr Roger Cagle and Mrs
Cynthia Cagle of 75,600, 52,900 and 38,500 ordinary shares of £0.20 each,
respectively.  Up to 100% of these awards will be capable of vesting from 20
December 2008 provided certain performance conditions are met.  At the date of
the award the market price of the ordinary shares was £8.18.
