PetroNeft was notified today that Mr. Vakha Sobraliev, a non-executive director
of the Company, purchased 140,733 ordinary shares of €0.01 each ('Ordinary
Shares') at a price of €0.70 per Ordinary Share on 4 April 2007. Following this
transaction, Mr Sobraliev's aggregate holding in the Company has increased to
22,915,047 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 13% of the issued share
capital of the Company.
