                               Board Appointment



PetroNeft Resources plc ('PetroNeft' or the 'Company'), the oil exploration and
production company with assets in Tomsk Oblast, Western Siberia, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Dowling, Chief Financial Officer, as an
executive director of the Company.



Mr. Dowling joined the Company in October 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He is
a Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the Irish Taxation Institute.


Mr Dowling, aged 36, is or has been a director of the following companies and 
organisations during the past five years:

There are no further matters in connection with the appointment of Mr Dowling

In addition, the Company also announces the appointment of Ernst & Young
(Ireland), as the Company's auditors.
