Petrel Resources wishes to announce that all of its ordinary shares have been
redenominated from Irish pence to Euros. Application has been made to the for
the ordinary shares to be requoted on AIM as ordinary Euro0.0125 shares and it
is expected that the change will take place with effect from 12 December 2001.
