Petra Diamonds Limited ('the Company'), the AIM-quoted diamond group, announces
that at the Company's Extraordinary General Meeting held on 23 April 2007 the
resolution to increase the Company's authorised share capital from £20,000,000
to £30,000,000 by the creation of an additional 100,000,000 shares was passed.
